May 5, 2006, Newsletter Issue #77: Searching for a Job
1
Tip of the Week
You can search for jobs online, in the newspaper, on college bulletin boards, etc. You can also visit a company’s website to see if they are hiring. Many organizations are now putting their job openings online, on their own website. Another way to find a job is to ask professionals in your career field about any job openings they know of. Not only can a professional in your career field help you find a job, he or she can also provide you with helpful information, a reference letter, a contact person, etc. If you don’t know a professional in your career field, join a student organization related to your career that associates with professionals, or go to a career fair.
